Wilson Ranch Stock Dog Trial

On October 14, a great time was had by all at the Wilson Ranch Stock Dog Trial. The weather was unbelievable for the middle of October. We all sat around a bonfire, drank coffee and roasted hot dogs, while verbally flinging some of the stuff that comes out of the back end of a bull.

The cattle were fresh enough of a challenge, but workable and the dogs seemed to be able to rise to the challenge. Because the cattle were fresh, we put a 10 point penalty instead of a disqualification to the handler, thus a negative score was possible.

The beautiful down filled vests donated by the Horse Barn in Kamloops , went to the top handler and dog in each class along with a payout.
