Wilson Ranch Stock Dog Trial

June 24 -25, 2006

The 1st Stock Dog Trial held at the Wilson Ranch in Little Fort BC., on all accounts was a howling success!!  The vests that were donated by the Horse Barn in Kamloops, were for the Hi Point Dog and Handler in each class over the 2 trial weekend - it turned out that Olie and his handler Gord were hard to beat in their own barn yard, narrowly beating Todd and his handler James Kocsis in the open and the same with Rex and his handler Walt  McKirdy in the Open. 

Cliff and his handler Brenda were also in there for Nov/Nov. Therefore the Wilsons have put the vests away for the summer and will give everyone another run at the vest this fall.

There was also over $1100.00 in payout money.

Brenda and Gord would like to thank Linda and Danny Lytton for the use of their cattle, also to Shelley Loeppky for her beautiful hand crafted donations.

The winners were

• Jack Peterson - Lanyard

• Dee and Nicky - Border Collie Rock

All in all it turned out to be an enjoyable weekend for everyone involved.
