Trial Notes:
Our course had 7 obstacles this time & still a 5 minute time limit which was quite achievable. We had 2 runs again for each competitor & they were working 3 head of steers through the obstacles. The only difference in the 2 classes was in the Pro Novice they could go & help their dog after they crossed the plain of the 1st obstacle & in the Open they could go & help their dog after they completed the 2nd obstacle.
The reason our scores were so high this time was the judge felt generous with the numbers on each obstacle & instead of 3 points
for each steer that passed through the obstacle he wanted to have a game with the competitors & moved it up to 9 points for each steer. So the maximum score was 189 for each run & in 5 minutes which you will see by the results that it was quite
achievable.
