Happy New Year! Winter has finally hit British Columbia, and just in time for those of you with early lambing. Brrr! Hope you and all your critters are staying warm!

October, 2011
Welcome to the 2012 trialing year! We're off to a great start, with Holly's wonderful Paxton Valley SDT this past weekend. The sheep were great, the rain held off, and some great runs were laid down. Congratulations to Lee Lumb and Chica, the overall Open winners, and Chris Hanson and Teak, the overall Pro Novice winners. Click here for all the results.

The AGM will be on October 22, at the ABC Restaurant in Surrey. Please contact Wendy Legare or Charmaine Henderson if you have any questions about this event.
July, 2011
Summer's here ... I think. I'm sure I'll be complaining about the heat soon enough but so far it's been c-c-c-c-c-old. But enough whining, let's look forward! Coming up at the end of this month is the 19th annual Metchosin Sheep Dog Trial . Also, you can head north and take in the Dawson Creek and Pink Mountain trials, then get ready to head east for the Western Canadian and CBCA championships in Cranbrook at the end of August. If you'd like to order one of the beautiful commemorative posters, they are $5.00 if ordered before August 1. After that, they are $10. Please contact Penny at 250-427-5262 or by email to order yours today.

Thanks to Vickie Close for designing the fantastic poster to promote the Western Canadian and CBCA Championships in August, 2011! Check out the website for more info on this great event.
Our new President, Jennifer L'Arrivee, has penned her Spring President's Letter. Thank you, Madame President! :-)
Speaking of welcome, it looks like Spring is finally here. I'm sure we're all looking forward to green grass, lamb races, and sheep dog trials. Please check out our Events page to see what's happening in and around BC.
November, 2010
Seriously? It's November already? Wow, the year really flew by!
The AGM was held in Kamloops a few weekends ago. Thanks to Jennifer L'Arrivee and Gayle Cochlan for organizing it. For the first time, members were able to participate remotely, via a Skype conference call. There are a few little bugs to be worked out, but using technology instead of fossil fuels to maximize attendance at the AGM seems like a good idea to me!
The new BCSDA Board was elected at the AGM in October. Thanks to all for stepping forward and volunteering to serve the organization. As well, the always-entertaining auction was held, with proceeds earmarked for the Western Canadians, which will be held in the Kootenays in 2011. Over $700 was raised this year - well done!
